GENERAL

Flex 2 CCR is a side mount gas rebreather made is durable and user friendly design offering flexible configuration, exceptional reliability, world class robustness and very easy maintenance.

Scrubber Canister

Scrubber Canister

The scrubber canister is made of durable Delrin tube and has a mounted bottom with a small water trap. The scrubber canister can be equipped with one or two Quick Release Fasteners for easy attaching and replacing on-board cylinders.

CCR Head & Electronics

The CCR head is the heart of the FLEX2, which contains the control electronics, the solenoid valve for controlled dosing of oxygen, the removable Cartridge carrying three oxygen sensors, two replaceable Li- lon batteries 18500, watertight connectors for connection of external computers as well as connectors with unique Click-Lock bayonets for easy and fast connecting of the Counterlungs.

The Control electronics (Shearwater SOLO board) is built in the hermetic compartment inside the head.

The SOLO board uses ppO2 readings from three O2 sensors to autonomously maintain the ppO2 in the breathing loop in accordance with the current chosen setpoint.

Upper Canister

The Upper Canister primarily protects the Counterlungs and unites the Top Head, Counterlungs and CCR Head into one piece.
It is made of Delrin tubing and is densely perforated to allow easy water flow into and out of the canister when the Counterlung is working.
The Upper Canister has an integrated door secured by two locks for easy access to Counterlungs for removal, rinsing and drying.
The Canister door can be optionally with a hole for fixing the 2L/200 bar oxygen cylinder or smooth without the cylinder hole.
The Upper Canister is equipped with a fastening eye with easy relocation. More hanging eyes can be added to the Upper Canister as needed by the diver.

Side mount DSV

The SM DSV is a Diver Supply Valve allowing to open and close the mouthpiece and breathing loop. It is operated by rotating the knob on the front of the SM DSV by one hand.

When the SM DSV is switched to the OPEN mode – the breathing loop is open via the mouthpiece and allows the diver to breathe on the rebreather closed circuit.

When the SM DSV is switched to the CLOSE mode – the breathing loop is closed and in this position no water can enter the breathing loop even when the BOV is out of the diver’s mouth and submerged.
