CCR Liberty Backmount

GENERAL

Travelling with your CCR has just become a whole lot easier with a 16 kg travel weight.

A unique system of weight pockets integrated into the soft backplate with carbon fibre components provides for exceptional trimming and weight distribution. That allows the unit to be extremely light for travelling while the weight pockets are made to accept all commonly used lead weight types.

The unit is not only ideal for travelling but also for everyday diving. The new improved welded stand offers stability and the potential to clip equipment on while keeping the unit light enough to travel with. In the cases when an even lighter travel stand is required a lighter travel stand is also available. The BOV is included with every configuration to allow for the fastest access to open circuit breathing gas. A DSV can also be chosen as an alternative.

The MAVs placed on the mouthpiece remove the need for hoses and valves on your chest. Due to their positioning on the mouthpiece, they are straightforward to find, as they will always be in the same place. Find your mouth = find your MAVs.

Weight:

Transport weight is 16 kg (35,2 lb) without cylinders of which 5,00 kg (11,02 lb), is the head.

Transport your head in carry-on luggage, and the unit will only add 11 kg (24,3 lb) to your luggage, leaving plenty of space for other items.

Head feature

Where the magic happens.

The Liberty head houses all of the electronic components ensuring the operation of the rebreather and is the most crucial component of the whole unit. All the main components responsible for the rebreather operation are installed and function in redundancy. In the event of a component failure, a backup system allows ensures reliable operation of the unit for you to stay on the loop. The diver can then vote out individual components in the user menu.

2 Handset

Every unit comes with 2 handsets. Operate your unit through 1 or 2 handsets. In the event of a damaged handset (HS), there is no effect on the function of the unit as the Control Units (CUs) are located within sealed independent compartments. The handsets contain the vibration alarm motors, thermometers, inclinometers, accelerometers, and light sensors but none of the critical computational components.

LOOP

The Divesoft BOV allows you to switch to Open Circuit with one turn. It has 2 operating positions:

BOV FEATURES

Robust and reliable.
Manual addition valves (MAVs) are located next to your mouth in all backmount units with BMCL configurations. “Find your mouth, find your MAVs”.
BOV utilizes adjustable original APEKS 2nd stage for the best breathing performance.
All the mouthpieces are fitted with original Draeger mushroom valves.

ADVs

Pick your favourite way of Diluent delivery
The automatic diluent valve functions on the same principle as a standard regulator. The membrane inside will depress when it is affected by negative pressure, opening a valve that adds diluent into the loop.

The ADV can also be integrated into the T-piece of the inhale counterlung which is the most popular option. It is a choice for divers who prefer to manage their loop volume by themselves, having maximal control in their hands.

Why RADIAL?

Liberty uses a radial type scrubber for the following reasons:

The best work of breathing performance.
Flood tolerance characteristics – radial scrubbers can still operate in the case of partial flooding which increases the safety of the diver.
Heat insulation due to the warm gas travelling between the outer wall of the scrubber canister and the soda lime. This prolongs the scrubber’s operation time
